Organizational Context

In its mandated program, CORAD is a locally and nationally established and registered professional Non-Governmental Organization visibly known and decorated with its prolific and significant achievement in terms of the agricultural innovation and sustainable livelihood program, emergency and rehabilitation program  funded by potential donors such as LIFT (UNOPS, Myanmar), Norwegian People’s Aid, OXFAM, British Embassy, DANIDA, WFP, Interministerial Food Aid Committee (CIAA) and LRC, Access to Health.

CORAD already has 12 years of experience in improving production, product quality and the diversification of agricultural systems. CORAD has also supported and strengthened the technical and organizational capacities of producer groups to implement agricultural infrastructure and natural resource management projects collectively and to experiment and disseminate technical agricultural innovations. CORAD already has also 5 years of experience in improving agricultural sectors in terms of intensification and diversification of production and promotion of product quality, the animation of platforms encouraging inter-professional dialogue and negotiations between actors in the sectors. supported and sensitization of communities on nutrition sensitive agriculture and good nutritional practices. CORAD has 12 years of experience in the four proposed departments: Hakha, Falam, Thantlang and Tedim with a network of producer groups that they have strengthened during the various projects carried out.

CORAD and GRET share the same visions, objectives and approaches and have been collaborating since 2008.

CORAD is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill a vacancy in its office located in Hakha, regional Office.

Position Summary

The community facilitator is absolutely responsible and accountable for overseeing and maintaining overall implementing activities of CORAD in the areas of agricultural Innovation and Value Chain for food and nutrition security Programs in compliance with Donors-Driven& Oriented Guidelines under the direct supervision of the regional team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organizing and conducting meeting training and workshop in the projected villages with farmer or producer groups and conducting training at cluster levels.
  •  Do the systematic Collection of CAP/CFW implemented program and other activities accordingly.
  •  Drawing and setting up a work-plan and training plan in compliance with its guideline and protocols.
  •  Closely collaborate with producer committees during the assigned work implementation.
  • Organizing the networking events/meeting in village level during the internal mission of CORAD and Donors.
  •  Conducting Viilage's Data Update Assessment and Food Security Assessment based on its relevant context
  •  Lead/Facilitate the PG's CAP Nutrition Projects implementation in compliance with its guidelines and protocols.
  •  Lead /facilitate PG's meeting, training and workshop in the projected villages accordingly.
  •    Lead facilitate PG's conflict resolution pertaining to the PG's activities and organizational aspects
  •   Lead facilitate PG's strategies and methodologies setting of CBOs Building and CAP Project implementation.
  •  Building the progressive relationship with village's authorities, eldest and other organizations' leaders during the project implementation and other important events of the organization.
  • Sharing information and discussion of problems encountered with staffs and PGs in the projected villages.
  •  Participating in the training, workshop and seminar conducted by other organizations, partners and donors.
  • Participating in the program of cross visits, exposure visits and exchange visits accordingly.
  •   Follow up of PG's monthly activities implementation and CAP Project implementation.
  • Supervision of PG's training, meeting and workshop in its contextual relevancy.
  • Supervises of PGs’ cross visit and exchange visits in its contextual relevancy.
  • Monitoring and Evaluating PGs' CAP Nutrition Project implementation in line with its guideline and protocols.
  • Reporting on monthly ‘activities, group dynamic situation and other interesting issues in the villages.

Person specifications:

  •  Any graduate in any other humanitarian development context or background with the relevant experience is desired.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experiences of community mobilization work and field facilitation under the livelihood and development project.
  • Good ability to facilitate team work and relations with colleagues
  • Ensure relationships with line departments, concerned authorities on operational aspects
  • Use of computer software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Myanmar & English languages spoken and written. Fluent in Hakha Chin languages will be a plus.
  •  Priority will be given to Chin native and/or person with experience in Chin State. 

Personal Qualifications:  

  • Flexibility - ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural people, open-minded, good communication skills, ability to listen and diplomacy
  • Strong Interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to manage staffs and address conflicts as necessary.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team
  • Ability to write a report and manage process, data and maintain accurate records in English and Burmese.
  • Able to travel to field (Project Areas) and stay overnight in rural areas.
  • Follow the HR rules and regulations of CORAD with the direct supervision of Line Managers.

CORAD is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill a vacancy in its office located in Hakha, regional Office.

 From October 2021, CORAD and its partners intend to implement the Agricultural innovation and Inclusive Value chains for Food and Nutrition Security (ALIVE-FNS) project with the overall objective to contribute to food and nutrition security of smallholder farmers and their communities by strengthening the resilience and inclusiveness of Value Chains in Myanmar. The specific objective will then be to improve the availability & access to safe, nutritious and diversified food for producers and consumers in targeted states of Myanmar and improve the awareness of nutrition challenges by value chain stakeholders. The project will be implemented up to June 2025. In the first phase of the project (18 months), the action will target two value chains (Konjac and vegetable) in four townships of Northern Chin State and for the second phase, another region might be included in the project.

Position Summary

Admin & log staff in regional/head office is absolutely responsible and accountable for overseeing and maintaining overall administrative, logistics and some parts of human resource management of CORAD, Head Office in compliance with administration program and HR guidelines in the mandate of organization as a whole.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: ( specified under ‘Office work organization, coordination and relationship and reporting’). The job description can be amended due to the needs and the evolving context of the project.

  •  Managing and supervising the work plan of Cleaners, Watchman and Driver accordingly.
  •  Precisely managing and supervising the travel plan of CORAD staffs as a whole.
  •  Preparing all required program pertaining to meeting, workshop and training accommodation that will be taking place in Regional/Head Office of CORAD.
  • Managing CORAD’s staff leaves in a close coordination with a Director, the head of Organization.
  • Maintaining the office register books ensuring that there is a punctuality and simplicity in terms of signing for office in and office out.
  • Recording and Maintaining of CORAD’s equipment, suppliers and purchased property accordingly.
  •  Preparing for the purchasing process of CORAD’s equipment and purchasing CORAD’s equipment, suppliers, and properties accordingly.
  •   Filing the documents in terms of internal and external reports as to narratives, leaves, evaluation, mission and other relevant additional reports as per-required from Organization.
  •  Supervising the driver and his relevant program in terms of a close information of travel programs and follow up of a car’s utilities and repairs.    
  • Supervising the training and office building ensuring that the properties and other allocated items/materials and goods are well maintained and an immediate communication to the head of Organization in terms of its repairs and further relevant program.   
  • Preparing and Consolidating of Township monthly Activities reports for concerned government departments and partners.
  • Taking meeting minute and typing (CU/Staff and other official meeting minutes)
  • Preparation of inventory reports for CORAD and Donors in compliance with its policy and procedures.
  • Coordinating the mission’s plans with authorities, partners and missions in line with internal program or donor-based program as well as booking for hotels, air tickets, bus and other relevant activities as per-required.
  •   Coordinating with the concerned team in terms of meeting, worship plans and cross visit, exposure visit and exchange visits
  •   Following up of Rules and Regulations of CORAD for Audit program and other relevant requirements within the organization.

 

Person specifications:

·         Any graduate or in any other humanitarian development context or background with the relevant experience is desired.

·         Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experiences of admin and log work in the context of NGOs or in any type of organization.

·         Good ability to facilitate team work and relations with colleagues

·         Ensure relationships with line departments, concerned authorities on operational aspects

·         Use of computer software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·         Myanmar & English languages spoken and written. Fluent in Hakha Chin languages will be a plus.

·         Priority will be given to Chin native and/or person with experience in Chin State.

·         Female candidate will be more prioritized.
